Striking three storey home with show-stopping elements.
WANDSWORTH BORDER
This house is full of incredible pieces collected by my client; and so a twenty-one drop chandelier seemed the perfect fit for their stairwell.
A nook in the bedroom was redesigned with a gorgeous yellow window seat and soft, floral curtains. I also added a few eye-catching pieces such as an orange bureau, striped stair runner and pink radiator.
the brief
Rather than re-design, here we were tasked with enhancing the interior design to elevate the overall look and feel of this already stylish house. The owners had collected many wonderful pieces over the years and wanted to create new ways to display their treasures and add more colour and texture to their home.
THE WHY
The owners had extended their home a number of years ago, and had already made many excellent design decisions; we worked alongside them to choose details and pieces that worked with what they had, adding a large dose of fun, colour and character, and blended seamlessly into their house and lifestyle.
THE OUTCOME
Panelling, discreet lighting and a sumptuous stair runner were added to the central stairway, along with a stunning 21-drop chandelier that is visible from each floor. Panels were also added to the living room, to better display their art collection, and bespoke furniture was made for the kitchen, bedroom and games room. Repainting the kitchen units added depth, and a striking sideboard is a work of art in itself. Carefully selected accessories such as recycled glass lamps with hand painted shades completed the transformation!
