Creating character in a modern, recently-built apartment was paramount here. Clever use of space and colour allowed the homeowner to have a cozy home as well as the perfect space in which to entertain.
In the kitchen we utilised each cubic centimetre, doubling the original amount of storage. The clever worktop area also serves as a space to catch up over coffee and entertain guests whilst preparing food. A bit of sparkle was added to the redesigned bathrooms as well!
the brief
A bright and airy home for a professional client with many interests was to be created in this relatively new-build apartment which we completely refurbished. In addition to an overhaul of the bedrooms and living space, two bathrooms were to be completely reconfigured to enlarge the master ensuite and also add a touch of glamour. The kitchen was to be opened to the living space, and storage seemingly magicked out of nowhere from an angled space.
THE WHY
Creating an individual identity for a new build apartment to suit the lifestyle and personality of the owner was the driving force behind this design and renovation. She has many interests travels frequently and loves to entertain, and the apartment now has the light colours and airy feel is the retreat that she wants to come home to.
THE OUTCOME
Soft, gentle colours make the most of the excellent light in this apartment, with views over extensive parkland. A neutral background unifies the apartment, and soft blues in the kitchen and bathrooms echoes the sky. The apartment is now both a sanctuary for the owner as well as a lovely place in which to entertain guests.
