Part of the Kensington pied-a-terre, these bedrooms were to be transformed from empty white boxes into exciting and theatrical retreats.
THE WHY
The owners wanted strong, bold and sumptuous settings in the bedrooms, ready to receive them from their travels at a moment’s notice. Each room was to be completely individual as well, whilst keeping in step with the apartment as a whole. Every practicality needed to be considered, ensuring that belongings could be stowed safely out of sight whilst remaining completely accessible.
THE OUTCOME
From the bespoke chestnut doors to the individually designed headboards, every detail is a delight to the eye. A dramatic ceiling treatment echoes the bed in the main bedroom, with red lacquer setting off the sumptuous velvet. Opulent animal prints and grasscloth paired with dark wood set the stage for a relaxing retreat in the second bedroom.
