We loved working alongside our colleague and friend ASV Interiors here; the flat was designed for a family that travels frequently. Each room was developed and finished in a very strong style — every single minute detail was thought about, including those that are not visible, such as ventilation and cabling.

We also changed the windows to provide the best sound and heat insulation. The design is bold and dramatic, with details down to the brass window reveals and door handles considered carefully.

the brief

To create a dramatic, rich and individual apartment for the family’s time in London, taking full advantage of the extensive views. Comfort and style were paramount, and every single detail was to be considered. Behind-the-scenes essentials such as heating, cooling and ventilation were also updated.

THE WHY

The apartment is in the perfect location for this family, and allowed them to indulge their love of dramatic and intense style. Everything was stripped back to bare brick, and rebuilt to ensure both luxury and practicality. No detail was too small, and everything was meticulously researched and installed to work to perfection. They need to be able to instantly step into their London lives, and know that everything is always just as it needs to be when they arrive.

THE OUTCOME

From the moment you step inside the door the vibrant and bold colours and patterns draws the eye. Each room is individual, with brass accents tying everything together. A clever combination of luxurious and simple items create the perfect retreat. Every single accessory and detail down to the varying-width floorboards has been considered, and mirrors subtly amplify the light and design.
