This home boasts some incredibly bright and bold pieces which suited this family perfectly. We did two contrasting children's rooms; one with a Noah's Arc theme and the other with bright and bold colours.

We also created a tranquil bedroom with a few pops of print as well as redesigning the hallway, stairwell, front room and downstairs bathroom.

the brief

This professional couple with young children had recently moved into their new home, and called us in to personalise the interior design and create a welcoming ambiance from the moment you walk in the door. Joyful bedrooms for the children and a calm master bedroom for the parents were the priority, and a cohesive look and feel for the entrance and front room were also required.

THE WHY

Our clients were keen to have a welcoming, colourful home, and embraced bold ideas such as having a striking wallpaper in the cloakroom and using fabrics in bright colours to create the atmosphere they desired. The children needed rooms that would give free rein to their imaginations when playing, and would also grow with them, and the master suite was to be a relaxing haven for the parents.

THE OUTCOME

The scene is set as soon as you open the door — a striking stair runner and colourful upholstery on the bespoke bench first meet the eye. Colour and texture continue into the front room, and a surprise awaits when opening the cloakroom door! Upstairs the bedrooms are now a wonderful world of fun for the children, and a sanctuary for their parents. The colour palette throughout weaves gentle greens and blues with more vibrant pinks and yellows, and carefully chosen light fixtures are features in themselves as well as illuminating the meticulously constructed schemes.
