the brief
We had previously worked with this family on their bedroom, so when it came time to design a playroom for their two young boys, we were thrilled to be invited back. The project quickly expanded to include the TV room, front room, guest bathroom, master bathroom, and kids’ bathroom.
Part way through the renovation, a water issue in the kitchen required a complete rip-out, prompting the clients to take the opportunity for a full kitchen makeover as well. Naturally, with two young children, all the spaces needed to be family-friendly, with durable fabrics, practical storage, and thoughtful design that could stand up to daily life while still feeling stylish and personal.
THE WHY
The home was in need of a refresh, feeling a little tired, and this project presented the perfect opportunity to tailor it to the clients’ unique style. Key spaces, like the playroom, were designed to both inspire little ones and comfortably accommodate visits from their friends and parents. We brought the space to life with vibrant fabrics and bold paint choices, injecting colour and texture to create a fresh, invigorating atmosphere.
THE OUTCOME
A vibrant and welcoming home, perfectly suited to the family who lives there. We embraced their love of pattern and colour to create a truly unique space filled with personality. The kitchen now feels bright and fresh, with every detail carefully considered and tailored to the family’s lifestyle.
The playroom delivers a real wow factor, featuring a custom pirate ship, a whimsical book tree, and cloud-shaped lamps, it’s a magical, unforgettable space designed to spark imagination.
Each bathroom is thoughtfully designed and personalised for the individuals using them, while the TV room makes a bold statement with a bespoke bookcase that frames the screen and offers essential storage. The adjoining living room provides a more grown-up space, ideal for entertaining or unwinding in comfort.
